I want to sincerely thank the doctors of the Mardaleishvili Eye Clinic for their help in restoring the quality of my vision, which was deteriorating every month. I could not clearly see the faces of my relatives …
Hello, my name is Christina. I am 34 years old. I am from Lithuania.
I have retinal pigment epithelium dystrophy. I have struggled with this diagnosis since childhood. I’ve had 15 eye surgeries. At the moment my vision is only 0.03%.
Recently, my mother learned about the method of dystrophy’s correction with stem cells in the Eye Clinic of Mardaleishvili Medical Centre in Georgia. Without much hesitation, we had contacted the clinic and received an invitation for this treatment.
I underwent a transplantation of my own stem cells from the bone marrow at the Mardaleishvili Clinic on June 14, 2023. Two days before the transplant, I had a complete examination of my diagnosis. The transplant itself was successful with no complications. I feel great.
My mother and I want to express our gratitude to Dr. Nana Digmelashvili for her professionalism and individual approach to the patients, and also thank the director of the department, Dr. Lia Krikheli, and Mikhail, who helped in all organizational matters.
I hope that soon I will be able to share the first results from the treatment.
